Close your eyes for a moment. . .. .
Picture having a coca-cola in your hand on a hot summer day. Do you see it?. . . . You know you’re just moments away from feeling refreshed. . . right?
How about this. . . . You’re traveling with your family on vacation, you’re on the highway and your kids are hungry. . . . You see those Golden Arches and you know everyone will be happy and it will be a quick stop so you can get back on the road . . . has this ever happened to you?
Or what about this. . . .. that latest techy gadget has just been released and you just can’t wait to get your hands on it. . . . Are you one of those that waits in line to be the first to get it?. . . . . It has a partially eaten Apple on the packaging, but no name. . . . . Without thinking twice, you spend more on this particular product than the others on the market and you can’t wait to get home to try it out.
Coca-Cola, McDonald’s and Apple have spent an enormous amount of money defining their brand to create a look, feel and emotion that goes into their products. They have maintained high standards of quality for their products as well as their logo and appearance.
Over time, this becomes top-of-mind with consumers and they are able to sell more products as a result.
A very simple . . .yet disciplined strategy for success.
“A business based on brand is, very simply, a business primed for success.”
